Today I began my first day of my senior internship! In preparation for my early morning, I went to bed super early the night before. Of course being so nervous kept me so restless and I just laid in bed for hours. I always have to resort to turning on my sleep CD to soothe me into a deep sleep.
When I woke up bright and early, I fixed my warm coffee and prepared for a long, exciting day ahead of me. I anxiously awaited meeting my teacher and students after I arrived at the school early in the morning. I'm interning in a gifted fifth grade classroom and I have to admit it sounded a little intimidating. Once I was introduced to the teacher and students, I immediately felt more at ease and comfortable.
As the day progressed, I became more familiar with the students, classroom, and school. I don't think I could've been placed in a better learning environment. The school has so many different great technology and learning tools to enrich the students' learning. I am so happy with my new students and school and can't wait for a great semester of learning!
