This weekend I played the part of a 17 year old. While I was home, I went to support my two sisters during a high school basketball game. My older sister Stephanie is the dance team coach and my younger sister Sarah is on the dance team. To show our support, Jayde and I sported "Ja'quettes Dance Team" hoodies and I even wore the hair bow that all the dancers were wearing.
Although I've danced my whole life, I was never part of a dance team at school because my school didn't have one until my senior year. Watching my sister dance made me really wish I had done that in high school because it looks so much fun. My sister has gotten so good and it's so fun to see her smiling and doing so well in dance. I'm so proud of her!
It was fun to kind of play a different persona that night and fit in with all the students that were younger than me. When we went out to a late dinner with my family, my sister heard someone say that Jayde and I looked like we were out past our curfew. I thought it was pretty hilarious because most likely I was older than them, but I guess my high school gear made me look really young.
